Howard, I think you have brought up many good points, you are not necessarily trying to say that all homeschoolers are bad. You are trying to explain that Michaelas parents were using this an isolation technique so that no one would notice any signs of abuse.
Having said that, I believe that Michaela was not only let down by the system, but all of those surrounded, they knew about this and CHOSE TO SAY NOTHING! THEY MADE THAT CHOICE TO SAY NOTHING! Sometimes all it takes is one phone call, unfortunately that was not done until it was too late. This is a terrible tragedy, I hope that people will open their eyes and learn that you canīt always turn the other cheek.
